Board of Directors Meetings
Three vacancies to the CPRD Board of Directors will be open for the upcoming Special District Election. Election Day is May 20, 2025. (Special Districts elect their Board members in May of off-numbered years.) Terms expire in 2025 for Gayle Bizeau, Jim McMaster, and Lisa Rogers. The first day to file for candidacy is Feb. 8, 2025. The deadline to file for candidacy or to withdraw is March 20, 2025. Forms must be submitted and filing fee paid to the Yamhill County Clerk's Office. The next Board meeting will take place at 6 p.m. on Jan. 23, 2025 at the CPRD Administration Office. Executive Session: ORS 192.660(2)(a) and 192.660(7) to consider the employment of an officer, employee, staff member or agent. Executive session to conduct deliberations with persons designated by the governing body to negotiate real property transactions: ORS 192.660(2)(e)
Meetings typically take place in the administration office. Meetings are streamed on the CPRD YouTube channel and may also be viewed remotely on Zoom.
Regularly scheduled Board meetings generally take place at 6 p.m. the fourth Thursday of each month at the CPRD administration office at 125 S. Elliott Road in Newberg, Oregon.
Exceptions: The Board meets only if necessary in July and November, due to the Thanksgiving holiday, and Newberg Old Fashioned Festival in July. The December Board meeting typically takes place on the first Thursday in December.
All meetings of the Board of Directors must be open to the general public, unless specifically exempted by law (ORS 192.20 and 192.630). Regular Board meetings include opportunity for public comments. It is the intent of the Board to allow all citizens the opportunity to give input on any issue that is addressed by the Board.
