PLEASE NOTE: A revised proposed budget document was released on April 7th. This revised proposed budget is now available, along with a memo detailing the explanation of the updates, from this webpage.

The CPRD Budget Committee meeting is scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8th at the CPRD Administration Office at 125 S. Elliott Road in Newberg. The public may attend on site or remotely at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81794455129, and the meeting can be viewed on the CPRD YouTube channel as a livestream during the meeting.

Deadline for committee applications - 5 p.m.

Feb. 27 Board of Directors appoints citizen members to the committee
Mar. 12 Notice of Budget Committee meeting and public hearing 
Apr. 4 Budget delivered to Budget Committee & made available to public
Apr. 8 BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING 6 p.m. Public input welcomed. Budget approved. 
Apr. 9-11 Additional Budget Committee meetings may be held if needed. Budget approved.
Apr. 25 Notice of Budget Summary & Public Hearing
May 22 PUBLIC BUDGET HEARING 6 p.m.
June 26 BOARD ADOPTS BUDGET, RESOLUTIONS: TO MAKE APPROPRIATIONS, IMPOSE & CATEGORIZE TAXES
July 11 Submit documents to County clerk & assessor as appropriate

The Budget Committee includes ten people: the elected Board of (five) Directors, plus five committee members whom the Board appoints. Terms are three years. In order to be eligible to serve on the committee, a candidate must be a U.S. citizen, a registered voter, and live within the geographic boundaries of the District. All citizen ad hoc committees must agree to the committee policies adopted by the CPRD Board of Directors on Jan. 25, 2024 (See document at bottom and at right.).
