Junior Tiger Basketball - Boys Grades 3 - 8

Junior Tiger Basketball is a recreational basketball league designed to teach the fundamental skills of the game of basketball, in addition to sportsmanship, discipline and cooperation in a fun environment. 

Registration Information:

• Boys in grades 3-8
• Fee is $125 In-District
• Registration Closes November 15, 2024.  *Late registrations will be placed on a wait list and charged a $15 late fee.  However being placed on the wait list, does not guarantee team placement.
• Teams will be created with three factors in mind: players’ school, enrollment grade level, and experience.  This will help create parity amongst teams in order to ensure a more competitive and equal playing field.

Season Information:

• All teams will require a volunteer coach
• Each player will receive a reversible game jersey
• Practices will be twice a week for one hour and may begin the week of December 2.  The team’s head coach will determine the days and times.
• Coaches will notify parents of player’s team placement by November 27.
• Games are played on Saturdays in Newberg School District Gymnasiums starting January 11.  Game start times vary between 9am-4pm

We will have a coaches meeting at the on Monday, November 25 from 6-7:00pm at the CPRD District Office (125 S Elliott Road).  We will go over season information, schedule practices as well as to distribute team rosters, game rules and ball bags.
