Board of Directors reaches a decision on SDC rates
In June, following six months of discussion and the public hearing process, the Board of Directors voted 3 to 1 to keep SDC rates at their current level of service, increase from $2,017 to $6,866 on a single family home, and evaluate on a regularly scheduled basis.
The Board signed a resolution approving a System Development Charge rate schedule based on the current level of service; requiring a full review SDC calculations no less than every five years; and requiring the superintendent, in consultation with FCS Group SDC consultants, present a proposal to the Board to increase SDCs tied to the regional Engineering News Record calculation, to be effective Jan. 1 of each year.
The votes were:
Aye - Mike Ragsdale, Bart Rierson, and Don Loving
Nay - Mike McBride
President Peter Siderius recused himself from voting.
