Babe Nicklous Pool Park playground now open

The playground is open.

Nov 15 - The woodchips will be spread by Rotary Club members this weekend, and some final touches added. It's getting close.

Oct. 3, 2018 - The playground equipment has arrived for Babe Nicklous Pool Park and will be going up this weekend. The landscaping will be planted next weekend. Both Newberg Rotary Clubs will be helping CPRD over these two weekends of work, pitching in and getting their hands dirty. 

This park project is made possible by the combination of three sources of funding: a grant awarded by Oregon Park and Recreation Department (another Local Government Grant, for $40,189); generous donations, from both Early Bird and Noon Newberg Rotary Clubs (each club donated $40,000, for a total of $80,000); and remainder from CPRD, out of SDC (System Development Charges) funds. The total cost of the project is $170,189.
