Chehalem Heritage Trails Citizens Advisory Committee announcement and public invitation:

National Trails Day Work Party at Bob and Crystal Rilee Park on Saturday, June 3. Two shifts are available: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

We welcome volunteers of all ages and abilities to help us maintain and improve the multiuse trails at this beautiful park.

This is a great opportunity to give back to the community and enjoy the outdoors at the same time. You'll be part of a nationwide effort to celebrate and improve trails across the country. Plus, you'll get to meet new people, learn new skills, and have fun while making a difference.

At the event, volunteers will work on a variety of tasks to maintain and improve the park's multiuse trails. These tasks may include repairing drainage systems, trimming overgrown vegetation, clearing debris, and installing trail markers. We'll provide all the necessary tools and equipment, and our experienced volunteers will provide guidance and instruction.

To participate in the National Trails Day Work Party, simply sign up for your preferred shift and show up at the park on June 3. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes that you don't mind getting dirty. Also, be sure to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and snacks or lunch, depending on your shift.

We can't wait to see you at Bob and Crystal Rilee Park for National Trails Day! Let's work together to maintain and improve the park's multiuse trails and make a positive impact on our community.

Thank you,

Chehalem Heritage Trails Citizens Advisory Committee
