Trails survey may be coming to your mailbox

Chehalem Park and Recreation District is excited to announce the launch of the Community Trails Survey, a significant initiative aimed at understanding the needs and preferences of local trail users. This comprehensive survey seeks to gather insights from residents to guide future trail development and maintenance, ensuring that the Chehalem Heritage Trails network continues to meet the expectations of the community.

The Community Trails Survey will be distributed as a closed simple random sample to ensure a representative cross-section of the CPRD population is heard. Select registered voters within CPRD will receive an initial physical mailer with a unique survey code and a link to access the survey online. This approach not only enhances the security of responses but also allows for a broad and diverse range of voices to be heard. Non-respondents will receive a follow-up mailer approximately two weeks after the initial distribution.

CPRD recognizes that our trails are cherished assets that enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors alike. Your feedback will shape the future of these trails, guiding decisions on maintenance, development, and policies. By participating in this survey, you have the opportunity to influence the direction of our trails, ensuring they continue to meet the evolving needs and desires of the community.

Participating in the Community Trails Survey is easy:

  • If you receive a mailer, visit TrailsCPRD.org
  • Use your unique survey code from the mailer to access the survey
  • Share your thoughts, preferences, and ideas about local trails

The survey will be open for responses from September 15 to October 31. Don't miss your chance to be part of this important endeavor. Your input matters!
