The Budget Committee approved the proposed budget with edits (posted at right and bottom) at its annual meeting on April 9th. Minutes will be posted once approved by the Board of Directors at its regular meeting on April 25th. If you have questions, please contact Budget Officer Don Clements at 503.537.4165.

PUBLIC BUDGET HEARING
This is a public meeting. Its purpose is to discuss the 2024-25 budget as approved by the Budget Committee on April 9, 2024. Public input will be taken.
When: 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2024 (during the Board of Directors meeting)

BUDGET COMMITTEE
The Budget Committee includes ten people: the elected Board of (five) Directors, plus five committee members whom the Board appoints. Terms are three years. In order to be eligible to serve on the committee, a candidate must be a U.S. citizen, a registered voter, and live within the geographic boundaries of the District. All citizen ad hoc committees must agree to the committee policies adopted by the CPRD Board of Directors on Jan. 25, 2024 (See document at bottom and at right.).

Apr. 5, 2024	Budget delivered to Budget Committee & made available to public
APR. 9, 2024	BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING 6 P.M. Public input welcomed. Budget approved.
Apr. 10 - 12	Additional Budget Committee meetings may be held if needed. Budget approved.

June 27, 2024	BOARD ADOPTS BUDGET, RESOLUTIONS: TO MAKE APPROPRIATIONS, IMPOSE & CATEGORIZES TAXES
July 12, 2024	Submit documents to County clerk & assessor as appropriate

Citizen Budget Committee Members & Terms
At its Jan. 25th meeting, the Board of Directors appointed the four continuing committee members who had confirmed willingness and availability to serve. At its Feb. 22nd meeting, the Board appointed Brian Keyser.
